Letter Sounds: Phonics for Beginners
Engaging characters and fun music help develop early reading skills. After a quick review of upper and lowercase letters, kids learn and practice the most common sound each letter makes. An on-screen mouth shows how to form the sounds. Excitement builds as learners play 'Name That Letter' by quickly saying the letter that makes the sounds heard most in silly sentences. Next, young learners combine letters to sound out simple words with two and three letters. A variety of activities reinforce letter-sound associations, including consonant blends. By the end of the program, your child will feel the pride of reading short stories with simple sentences.
