This 24-page book actually has 12 pages of actual cut-out-and-fold projects. Difficulty level of the projects ranges from easy (the first 4 pages) to pro (the last two pages). The age range on the book says 6 and up. My artistic 7-year-old got this for Christmas and there is no way he can do even the easy projects by himself. The animals are not pre-perforated, they have to be cut out with scissors. We have only done the easiest project -- the starfish -- so far. I had to do the cutting out and it took me some time to do it correctly. Then I had to help him with the folding -- did I say this is the easiest project in the book? Other projects variously require careful cutting, folding, scoring, rolling, and gluing. The book has not been touched since we did that starfish project, although he loves the two starfish. I'm thinking the book needs to wait until he is older.
